              FRIDAY OCTOBER 17th       Kay Townsend, author of “Show People”, talks about life in the                                                                        fairground.

              FRIDAY NOVEMBER 14th Pauline Crump, historian. "Vienna to Weymouth - if it wasn't                                                                             for Hitler, I wouldn't be here" She intends to talk about her father's                                                                     escapades in Vienna and Prague before the last war, and his role in                                                                     the Kindertransports.

              FRIDAY DECEMBER 12th    We celebrate our own 5th Anniversary with entertainment from                                                                          Tim Laycock, the well-known Dorset singer and raconteur.

Text Box: Goodies from the Third Age Trust
I'm now taking orders for the 2009 U3A diary, useful pocket size, double page per week, and only £1.90. Also available, a U3A engagement calendar with 12 "Images of Water" selected from the latest U3A photography competition. It is 14" x 9.5" (approx) with a hanger, and costs £5.00.

The U3A has produced a booklet and CD-Rom "Computer Basics for Seniors" for beginners and near-beginners. Designed to get you going in word processing, email and the internet, our sample has been road tested by
Ann Mason, who has found it exceptionally clear and helpful. Copies are available from National Office, at £6.00
